The SOLIS pain relief system helps to relieve pain from fibromyalgia, chronic pain, MS, and more.

How SOLIS Pain Relief System can help with fibromyalgia and chronic pain

As many of my readers know, I struggle with chronic pain from Lyme Disease and Fibromyalgia because I lost access to opioids due to the opioid crisis. I’m in pain all the time, and I experience frequent side effects. Living with chronic pain is a never-ending battle.  I’m always on the lookout for a new pain device because I’ve tried all the “natural” treatment options that are recommended. So I jumped at the chance to try the new SOLIS pain relief system.

Although this product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company. This post contains affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy for details.

What is SOLIS Pain Relief System?

SOLIS is an FDA-approved device designed to relieve:

  • muscle pain
  • joint pain
  • arthritis
  • RLS
  • carpal tunnel
  • neuropathy
  • fibromyalgia
  • nerve pain
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Multiple Sclerosis

How does the SOLIS Pain Relief System affect pain?

SOLIS uses electrical nerve stimulation with electric pulses for pain relief. It triggers your body’s natural pain relief responses to lower your pain level. For many years mild electric pulses have been used to provide pain relief. The concept is based on the “Gate Control Theory of Pain” which explains how non-painful sensations can override and reduce painful sensations. By getting to the root of the nervous system, SOLIS offers up to 8 hours of pain relief.

How to use the SOLIS

The device is simple to use.

  1. Locate the pain area you want to target

  2. Moisten the skin with tap water using a moist towel or use Spectra 360 Gel

  3. Apply device to wear it hurts. Press and hold for 2-4 minutes to relieve pain

That’s it! It’s really easy to use, and due to its small size, you can carry it almost anywhere. It currently retails at $279.00.

The positives of SOLIS

SOLIS worked for me. It really helped with some of my frequent sore spots. I used it most often on my calves (always the most painful part of my body) as well as my shoulders. I have a tendency to tense up in my shoulders because of pain, therefore causing more pain in my shoulders. Using SOLIS on my shoulders helped them to relax a little bit. Using SOLIS on my calves helped them to not ache so much. They still hurt some, but it helped relieve the pain enough to allow me to get some sleep

SOLIS is also simple to use and doesn’t require any expensive electrodes. SOLIS is unlike other pain devices that are expensive to maintain due to the electrode cost. With SOLIS you can just use water and the water functions just as well as the Spectra gel. I switched between the two of them often, and I never noticed a difference in the performance.

The negatives of SOLIS

The biggest problem that I had with SOLIS was that the electric pulses hurt. They aren’t supposed to, but because I live with allodynia even the smallest settings were unpleasant for me. The device goes from 0-8 in intensity and I could barely stand 1. It went from not being on at 0 to hurting me at 1. However, I do have extremely sensitive skin because of my very high pain levels (I can barely wear clothes because they cause me too much pain). So I’m probably more sensitive than most.

One slight negative that’s something to be aware of when you have pain all over your body like many with Fibromyalgia, it can be hard to target that pain. SOLIS helped with my shoulders and calves, but the rest of my body still hurt.

My recommendation for SOLIS as pain treatment

Despite some negatives, I found SOLIS to be personally helpful, and I think it could help others with the right kind of chronic pain. If you have specific areas that you can target then you’ll love SOLIS. It won’t fix pain completely, but it’s another tool in the toolbox.

  1. This is nothing more than another version of a TENS device (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation). I have been dealing with severe Fibromyalgia and Rehumatoid arthritus pain for over eleven years. I have tried most every treatment that you talk about with very little improvement. If you are interested in trying the most advanced and amazingly controllable TENS device I suggest that you look at Quellrelief.com. You can control this device so it will not hurt! A very inexpensive and easy to use device with a smart phone app.
